INSTALLATION METHOD

Shiplap Wall Cladding

Begin the installation at the bottom of the wall

Fasteners are installed with a minimum of 15mm edge distance from the top and no closer than 15mm from the butt edge

Fasteners must be secured at a minimum of 30mm into the structural framing, which may include sheathing such as plywood or OSB.

Do not over drive the fasteners as it will reduce their holding power

If the installation is done by hand nailing, it may be necessary to prevent the corners from breaking

Fasten from one end of the panel to the other

Recommended to apply a thin layer of ready-to-use construction adhesive, such as liquid nail, within edge distance of about 10 mm from the top prior to next placement of sliding for stronger attachment

Shiplap Ceiling

Begin the installation from the side of the ceiling

Fasteners are installed at the centre of the shiplap along the metal frame / timber batten.

Fasteners must be secured at minimum of 30mm into the structural framing, which may include sheathing such as plywood.

Do not over drive the fasteners as it will reduce their holding power

If the installation is done by hand nailing, it may be necessary to predrill to prevent the corners from breaking
